Title: Why Paradise in music and picture?

Ruth Juon was asked by the organization „Women for Peace“ to write a song against the oppression of indigenous peoples. «Of course I said yes straight away. But when I was writing the lyrics, I faltered and asked myself, can I only write a song against the oppression of the indigenous peoples, knowing that many others are also oppressed? If I wanted to be fair, would I not have to write a song for everyone? But that is impossible. There had to be another solution. Suddenly I had the idea of maybe doing it the other way around, not saying „what I‘m against“, but rather „what I‘m for“. And then it suddenly became very easy. Of course I am for paradise on earth! So in 1993 I composed the song «Vision of Paradise». The song emphasizes what we humans have in common and comes to the conclusion: Paradise is where love is. My sister painted the picture and that‘s how our art together began. Since then we have been observing and researching moments of happiness in life and using intuition, thinking and imagination to trace the paradisiacal ideal and want to express and nourish this paradisiacal energy with our colorful pictures, stories and songs.
