Ruth Juon studied classical voice at the Conservatory Zürich with the American Operasinger Carol Smith and pop and jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.
Since then Ruth Juon works as freelance soprano, composer, lyricist and teaches solo voice.
Ruth Juon sings classic, pop, jazz and writes her own songs. She does concerts, TV, radio and recordings with different orchestras, among others with Dennis Armitage DRS Sextett, «The New Band» (ex DRS Band) with Jiggs Whigham, Reto Parolari, «Vince Benedetti tentet», «hr- Bigband des Hessischen Rundfunks» with Kurt Bong and Peter Jacques. For her song compositions Ruth Juon gets a Swisstop Award by Swiss Radio DRS. With «Spirit of Gospel» and the «North-Bigband» she sings the soprano-solo of Duke Ellington's «Sacred concert». For 6 years Ruth Juon is engaged as a Jazz singer in the «Orchestra Willy Schmid» and sings in the legendary hotel «Kindli » in Zürich, in whole Switzerland, in New York, Caracas and Istanbul. For many years she sings with the concert-jazz pianist Eugen Cicero and does with him and his trio concerts and recordings in Switzerland and Germany, among others for the SWR, Germany.
Vision of Paradise
1999, the two sisters Ruth Juon and Evi Juon found their publishing company «Vision of Paradise» and work ideally, musically and visually together.
With the Vision of Paradise ARTCONCERT they also bring their audiovisual art on stage.
