Markus Bachmann studied at the Conservatory of Music of Zürich with Klaus Wolters. 1983 Diploma.

On appointment of the ex-National Republic of Poland he studied at the Music Academy F. Chopin in Warsaw with Mrs B. Kawalla in the year 1985/86 as a postgraduate.

1987 Concert diploma at the Conservatory of Music of Zürich with Klaus Wolters.

Continued education in Jazz with Mario Scartoon.

Markus Bachmann gives concerts mainly with chamber music programs, his partner for years has been the flutist Renate Lemmer.

He has been teaching piano at the Youth Music School Winterthur for 13 years.

Markus Bachmann is actually beeing trained to become a Wingchung Kungfu and Tajchi- teacher at the Tao Work School with Christian Hauser.
